Hi! I’m getting my Monique dress soon (lace over silk slip). I’m torn between:
– ivory lace over an ivory slip OR
– ivory lace over a latte slip.
My skin tone is sort of yellowish. Anyone with experience?? Thanks!

The latte is pretty dark. I posted a while back about my dress buying extravaganza. I had a ML ivory/ivory AND a ML ivory/latte. I MUCH preferred the ivory/ivory. I ended up selling both of them because I like the color of the ivory/ivory and the style of the ivory/latte. I say go with ivory if you want anything resembling a normal wedding dress. If you want something that looks really vintage, go with the latte.
I personally prefer ivory/ivory for ML gowns, but that’s just my taste speaking. Can you get photos of yourself in each color combination so that you can look at them while you’re not wearing them (and maybe even post it as a poll if you still want help from the hive)?
My sister wore ivory/latte, and she also has sort of yellow-ish skintone. I thought she looked beautiful, and I wouldn’t say it’s untraditional. It didn’t ‘read’ as any darker than a champagne dress, at least in my opinion. Either choice is beautiful- you can’t go wrong with ML!
