I’ve been meaning to try it.  I read rave reviews about it, but I kinda wanted to wait to see if anyone had tried it first.  Seems so odd but if hemroid cream helps with puffy eyes why the heck wouldn’t this work.

I use it as a primer every day!

I heard about this from Miss Rainbow – and I went out and bought a tube!

It definitely works just as well as the Smashbox primer.  I bought mine from Rite Aid 🙂

@HisIrishPrincess: Not to get off topic, but, I just saw on the Today Show last week that Preparation H doesn’t actually work for puffy eyes– I guess years ago it used to, but they’ve since changed the formula.

Anyway… back to the primer…

I actually used it on my wedding day. It had a cool texture and made my skin really soft. I’ve never used any other primers, so I can’t really compare it, but my make-up stayed on all day and looked great. It’s also not as gross as it sounds. I was expecting the consistency to be really slick or slimy, and it wasn’t. Win!

I found mine at CVS for $7 or $8 near the feminine products (but not beside the other Monistat stuff since it’s *not* for yeast infections). I had to search a bit for it because it’s in a box that’s much more discrete than the other Monistat products (not really sure why).

I actually use this too. It does work. I was very skeptical, but my mom bought me some after she heard about it and now I always use it when I wear foundation.  I hate using my foundation without it.

I believe it’s just hydrocortisone 1%.  Be careful not to get it in your eyes – it is a topical steroid (and as such, there are some risks, especially if you use it long term).

If I notice the beginning of a wrinkle on my face I mix in preparation H with my face cream.  I’ve never heard of using Monistat cream for primer.  Hey, I’m willing to try it if it works!  Great tip.  Tell me if anyone else has tried Preparation H for wrinkles?

Does anyone with acne prone gel use this?  I worry that it would cause me to break out.

@EvaBostonTerrier: I think as long as you buy the unmedicated kind, it won’t have hydrocortisone 1% in it.  There is an itch relief version though – and I definitely wouldn’t put that near my eyes! 🙂
