Do whatever you want! There are plenty of places that will monogram things for you in “first, middle, last” order and not “first, last, middle,” so go for it. If you don’t care whether it’s proper or not, then no one else should.

My mongram in the traditional sense would be AAS but all the things I am going to get monogramed unless the middle letter is supersized will be ASA because I think it looks a lot better.

rilet14:  It’s up to you, but if I knew you, I would find it odd if you did not put your last initial in the middle.  Could you do the kind where they are all the same size instead?

rilet14:  I do all of my own (embroidery) monograms and if you seek out someone who does custom work, they can totally do a regular monogram (First, Middle, Last) for you even if it’s not offered as an option. It never hurts to ask!

FWIW, I think the fancy monogram (First,Last,Middle) looks pretty good too!!
