Hey Bees, first time at this! I am very keen to get a wedding planner in the weeks running up to the wedding and the day of. Mostly this is because I am quite the stressy person and I would like someone with experience to check our plans and then be the designated point person on the day so I don’t worry. My other half is not keen at present, he doesn’t really understand the benefit and doesn’t like the idea of trusting someone we won’t have known long with the day, mostly he doesnt like being bossed about. Can I get anyone’s views on a day of planner, what were their benefits? Did anyone convince their other half on one?

My fiancé had to convince me 😂 I was dead set against it because I’m a control freak and thought i could do it all leading up and day of. HAAAAAAA. Needless to say i finally met Hope, the venue owners gf/DOC (she really stood by her name 🤣) at our food tasting 6 weeks prior and hired her on the spot and it was the best money we spent he entire 9 months. She coordinated the vendors arrival time/take down for day of wedding, and took care of everything the day of. How i thought I’d do without her I’ll never know.

We had two day of coordinators come with our venue, I doubt we would have spent the money on them otherwise. But they were absolute lifesavers, things ran perfectly smoothly and would have been stressful and chaotic otherwise. Highly recommended.
