I’m in a bit of a pickle. We are deciding between two places: One King West Hotel and Liberty Grand in Toronto, Ontario.
Here is One King West:
and here is Liberty Grand, Centennial Room:
I can decorate it to look something like this (this is not the same room, the room below is larger than the one we are looking at:
SO the problem.
I prefer Room 1 to Room 2. I think it is more beautiful. BUT Room 1 is quite a bit more than Room 2. It’s doable, but we will have to be careful with how we spend the rest of our money. Whereas Room 2 we won’t really need to worry about the cost of decor/flowers.
What do you guys think? Cutting back on the decor a bit and go with Room 1? Or go with Room 2 and decorate without worry? What are your thoughts?

oops, i think i put this in the wrong category. sorry!

The two venues are so similar to me! Either one you cant go wrong and I think its more about how you decorate a space than the space itself sometimes.

I think if you love the first room more, then go with it! For me, it was the space that mattered more than the decorating.

I actually like the second venue better – the windows are TDF and it seems more intimate and warmer

I think they both look great but i would go with the one i really wanted.

I love the first but I say go with the second one. Part of the reason why I like the first is how it was decorated. I think if you use lighter decor similar to the first one, it will give a feeling for more of what you are looking for. And as a previous poster said, those windows in the second room are to die for.

I would chose the second one. I think the decor is more important.

I think that these two are SO similar that I would go with the less expensive one and have a bit more for decor. For me, decor makes the space, not the other way around.

They look the same. Both are beautiful.

Are you having an evening wedding or a day wedding? For a day wedding, I like 1 more because it’s brighter and the color in there is so light and cheery. The second one is beautiful too, and if you’re having an evening wedding, your idea for the decor is awesome.

Both rooms look amazing! I also prefer room 1 to 2… but if the cost is that much of a difference, I would opt for 2. As long as everything else for room 2 is good, I would go with that one 🙂

I prefer #2 and not just because of the cost!

They’re both so beautiful! I do love number one a little more, but maybe not enough to cough up way more cash. Your reception is going to be gorgeous either way.

it’s more of an evening wedding, in the sense that we will be there from 5pm – 1pm. since it’s in the summer though, it doesn’t start getting dark until like 8-9 !
