I had planned for my whole life that I would wait until the wedding night (for religious reasons) to lose my virginity. However, this cause SO much stress over the years that Fiance and I decided to do it early (just recently) so that I could relax and not have such a build up of fear or anxiety all during the wedding day, as well as be ‘broken in’ to enjoy the honeymoon.
Anyway, I had a question for more experienced members of the hive. Does sex make you really hungry the next day? I’m a semi- fitness buff, so I know that heavy exercise can increase your appetite the following day, but I’m pretty used to that. What I’ve experienced the days after we’ve had sex these last couple weeks is just ridiculous! I seriously can’t make it between breakfast and lunch without a serious snack.
Anyone else notice this? If so, was is just during the time after you lost your virginity, or is it a continuing thing?

I’ve never noticed being more hungry the next day, but I have noticed being more hungry immediately afterwards. My husband and I occasionally will get up afterwards, even if it’s very late, and have a snack. I don’t know why we get hungry after, but we laugh about it.

I know phsyiolgically sex produces many new hormones, emotions, etc. so your body may be needing more energy to get all those new chemicals firing (well not new, but newer higher quantities). If you look up calories burned information for sex, it’s very low; like for 20 minutes of vigorous sex one only burns 30 calories.

I remember talking to a guy friend about it once. He asked me what I “craved” after sex. I told him nothing, and asked him what he craved. He said quarter pounders from McDonalds lol

I pretty much want chocolate and wine right after…hence the ten pound weight gain after I started dating my Fiance. 🙁 Boo…that’s the only sucky part…
