@jholler25:  I, too, would love to have a second band.  I hinted at our 1st anniversary, but that didn’t happen (since we’re saving for a home).  My hope is that maybe he’ll get one for our 5th anniversary.  Don’t you think it would look nice and symmetrical with one on top (like yours)?

I love the look of having your Engagement Ring in between 2 bands. My mother’s wedding set is like that, and to me it just seems so elegant and classy.

It looks beautiful! I’ve gone back and forth with wanting a second band. Future Sister-In-Law has two bands, but they are all soldered together on her e-ring. The only thing for me is that I have some side detailing on my ring that I’m not sure I want to cover. I will already cover it on one side when we exchange wedding rings. However, I really like the look with your ring!

I have two bands around my ering, since I had to have the symmetry. My ring is yellow gold and not to everyone’s tastes, but I love it.

I don’t necessarily wear an extra band but I do plan on wearing a thin spacer between my engagement ring and wedding band. The way the diamonds are set in the band rub up against the milligrain on my engagement ring so this is to protect it from damaging it. More for practicality than anything else…

But I have seen some gorgeous sets here with sandwhiched bands that look really nice. Someone had a really beautiful Emerald solitaire with two bands, forgot who.

I will have a second band as well, but it represents something else. I have a band already from when we had the JOP thing, and then when we have the wedding/vow renewal with our families and friends I will have another band from that as both are important to us. Also the first band that I have is just a cheap little ring that we found in a mall pagoda since we had to elope last minute and didnt have the money or time to get a ring. 🙂

@jholler25: Thank you! and yup, it’s the Tacori 2639 which is the 2620 with a round instead of a cushion halo. I was soooo close to getting the 2620 but then changed it to the round in the final weeks prior to ordering. I love it! My older sister actually ended up purchasing the 2620 for her cushion though so good thing I did switch otherwise we  both would have the same ring setting!

Your sandwhich looks great though! I like that since the wedding band and other band are thinner than the shank of the engagement ring, it really helps balance it out well to not overwhelm the engagement ring.
