A pretty popular blogger wrote about this a while back:
But of course she works in fashion, so it would totally make sense for her to have several sets! Whatever matches your style and personality 🙂

I have 2 options:
between the tall setting and pave, I don’t wear it all the time. Most days I wear a band that matches my husband’s:
I would really love a blingy low-profile band to wear on its own. A ring like that would be more suitable for my lifestyle.

I wish I had more than one set…I would really like to have about 10 lol

@NikkiKillpretty: No. I cannot think of a good reason to ever get another one. I have what most people here would consider a very inexpensive ring, especially for our salaries. I see no point in spending much money in 1 ring, much less 2!!!

If I had the extra cash I would totally have a bunch of different sets haha. I used to work with an italian women whose original rings were stolen so she ended up with about 25 different sets. Some diamonds, some CZ, some gold, some silver…I swear she had a new set everyday of the week and I loved them all! I actually have 2 bands (one diamond, one palladium) that I can mix it up with and I have a 3 stone RHR that I could wear as an alternative engagement ring if I choose but I don’t think I have a picture on this computer. I would LOVE to have a set in YG someday, because I do miss all my yellow jewelry but I’d buy it from a pawn shop or somewhere and it would have to be completely dirt cheap LOL. Here’s my ring with my 2 bands.

@NikkiKillpretty: I don’t yet but I will soon. my FH wants to get me a second ering and wedding band for my right hand. I’m Russian and we wear our wedding bands on our right hands, so he wants me to have a full wedding set. I’m getting a split shank round halo, and I have just a regular round halo now.

I only have one set right now but I know at some point I will end up with another one. My engagement ring actually belonged to my future mother in law so my fiance didn’t really get to pick it himself. I know he wants to be able to go shopping himself and buy a set for one of our anniversaries (I know he’s entioned doing it for our 5th we’ll see.) I don’t see anything wrong with having a second set. We also plan on passing down my current e-ring to one of our children when that time comes so it will be nice to have another one.

I love varieties and since I received several gorgeous gemstones as wedding present (one of DH’s aunts was a diamond/gemstone dealer), I started slowly setting some of them and building my jewelry wardrobe thru the years.
Here are some that I wear as “bridal set” ~
Sorry pics are huge~
