@KimmyJune:  would your boyfriend be willing to buy a loose stone and then have it set somewhere?

Commenting to follow! I am in love with a pear morganite on Etsy as well, though I know SO is not crazy about it. Hopefully someone has a great answer!

I can’t help you with your search because I got mine from a chain store. Actually it’s from People’s which is the Canadian version of Zale’s. It’s a three stone ring set in rose gold, and we got a lifetime warranty that will cover the replacement of lost or damaged stones. My ring has been very sturdy so far. No color fading, no cloudiness,  and no chips or general wear on the facets. Honestly I think it’s stronger than people make it out to be. People have heirloom emeralds from many generations and it’s basically the same stone. Of course it’s not as strong as a diamond, but in my experience so far it’s pretty tough. The only issue I have is that it gets dirty fairly quickly but it’s easily cleaned up with some dish soap and a baby toothbrush. I’m sure any ring I wore daily would need to be cleaned regularly so it doesn’t bother me.

I just took an updated picture, but it doesn’t show the true color very well because of the lighting, but it’s definitely stiil as and sparkly as the day I got it!

Good luck in your search!

I love, love my morganite ring!!! It’ my right hand ring and I wear it pretty much ALL the time.  I got it on Etsy.  Mine was relatively inexpensive…I will post a picture.  I would recommend Etsy any day…I have had nothing but good experiences there.

My ring is from Etsy and I love it!  The stone is SO clear, and I get compliments all of the time on my ring!  I got mine from RareEarth.  We both were concerned with ordering it without seeing it, but I have ZERO regrets and would order from her again in a heartbeat!

I just returned a set of morganite earrings from Zales because they lost their luster in about 3 weeks.

@beepants:  Did you get yours from the store easy gem or something like that?

I love morganite too but we opted for a pale coloured sapphire instead (also a pear shape!). It’s being custom ordered as we speak. Have you tried going to smaller or non-chain jewelry shops to get what you’re looking for? (Look on yelp for ideas). The store I went to was very helpful about custom-ordering in gems in the cut I wanted and custom-making the ring I wanted…  Give that a try!

I love morganite! We had mine custom made by an Etsy seller. They could make the ring you are looking at, or make any changes to it, and they have some stunning quality work. I loved working with Lauren to get my ring exactly the way I wanted it.

@KimmyJune:  We actually bought mine from RosadosBox, and I had a great experience working with Shirley. I did not get a warranty, since I figured if something did happen to the stone down the line, morganites are not too expensive and I could replace it. I have now had it for about a year, and it is still as beautiful as the day it arrived!

This is the ring on etsy:

And this is mine:

Mines more on the pink side and I LOVE IT…it changes color in different lighting..sometimes it looks lavender, sometime pink, sometimes peachy

I got mine from etsy and I was pretty happy about it…I find the sellers who have photos of the ring on their hand is really helpful to get an idea as to how it looks

I got mine from Mastergoldcraft and gng has a similar one for cheaper with white sapphires instead of diamonds on the side
