I’ve had my morganite right hand ring for 3 1/2 years.  Love it and it still looks like it did when I purchased it.  I don’t wear it daily but I do wear it 3 to 4 times per week.  I am reasonably careful with it, as you mentioned you are too, so I don’t wear it when doing rough tasks.  I haven’t noticed any change in color and at this point my jeweler says the surface of the stone it perfect at least it was when I had it in about a month ago to have the setting checked.  So there is hope.  Enjoy because your ring is beautiful!

I’m always intrigued by conversations about morganite on the bee. Lol. I’ve had mine almost one year. Wear it daily. I take it off to shower, put on lotion, or when I’m cooking. I have three kids and I’m constantly running around behind them, so definitely not easy on my hands. I’ve bumped it, dropped it, it even fell on the concrete in the Target parking lot once. It’s a 3 Carat Solitaire with no Halo, so it generally has no protection around it. I wash it with dish soap and warm water with a baby toothbrush once per week. And I love washing my hands with it on because it shines immediately. I don’t have a problem with soap residue or build up.

It is as gorgeous today as when it came in the mail. I ordered it from Thailand on eBay for $50. I am in agreement that the quality of the stone does affect how well it holds up. My morganite is unheated and untreated. I took it to three different jewelers and they were amazed at the quality. The stone alone appraised for over $1,000. In my opinion, if you buy a large Morganite ring for less than $500, the stone itself is probably not going to be of the best quality. You’re really paying for the gold and the diamond melee.

I have been wearing my everyday for about 16 months now. Also have a desk job as PP and make sure to take it off when lifting, in the field, or doing yard work, house reno, showering, etc. I’ve bumped it and accidentally ran it along a wall once, but no damage. It does get cloudy from soap and lotion residue. I clean it when I happen to remember I should.

I’ve had my morganie e-ring for almost three years. I’m lazy about washing mine, but when I do, I use warm water, dawn and a soft toothbrush. To dry it, I just wipe it dry with a paper towel.

Mine still looks the same as when I got it. I wear mine pretty much daily – whenever I leave the house.

There is such love and hate for Morganite on the Bee. I love it. I’ve had no issues with it. I think, like everything, there can be quality differences. And I think cut is really important with Morganite. More often than not, people ask me what kind of diamond I have – they don’t ask me what stone I have.

Love your ring!

missyjz :  Most morganite stones are heated to enhance the color. Thats why there’s a general uniformity in color in the market. Unheated morganite retains its natural color. Here’s my small collection. They have all been verified as genuine morganite and they are all unheated.

missyjz :  I like to know what I’m getting myself into. πŸ˜‰ I researched the heck out of it. Most people don’t know about the range of colors. The stone in my ring is the larger of the two in the top pic. It’s actually a light purplish-pink-peach color. It is not what I expected at all when it arrived. Rose gold brings out the peach most of the time, but if the light is just right, the purple pops!

missyjz :  So I don’t quite get why people worry to much. I have talked about this before. My Mom had an emerald. She wore it EVERY DAY for 35 years and it was fine. As in, cleaning stalls, smashing it in a car, putting down tile. After 30 years she ahd it resurfaced. It looks as good as new. I think it is part luck but just wear it and be happy. If it smahes it will be sad but it can be replaced.
