hello weddingbees, I just purchased my original mori lee dress and paid a lot of money for it, but when I got home I found the label says made in china, are original mori lee dresses made in china? .. please help as i am afraid i’ve been scammed.. thanks 🙂

jasmineweddingbee: You’ve not been scammed, the dress wasn’t made by an outside company, China is just where these factories are.
There are actually very few dress companies that have shops in the states, so you will come across this non-issue when getting bridesmaid dresses as well. No worry though, as long as you didn’t order it online or from a “shady” shop, you got a real dress not a replica

Chinese labour is cheaper…so most dresses are made overseas even if they’re true label dresses. So long as you ordered from a reputable place, and you are happy with the dress then don’t worry about it – you have the real deal 🙂

Pretty much every dress designer makes their dresses in china. You can pay 20k for a dress and it will still be made in china. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any skilled hand work, they just make their dresses there to stay competitive.
