I am 6 weeks 5 days and mine has mostly been food aversions so far…I have a list of about 5 things that actually sound appetizing. I do throw up in the morning nearly everyday, but (TMI) since my stomach is empty then it is not too gross as compared to throwing up food.

@dannielle89:  You should mention the swelling to your doctor when you have your appointment.  It can be normal or it can be a symptom of preeclampsia. My friend had it and she was swelling fairly early on, although I don’t think at 5 weeks.  Sorry you aren’t feeling well. I started feeling REALLY cruddy at 6 weeks and I am now almost 19 weeks and still feeling terrible.  Some of us just don’t get the happy/glowy pregnancies the movies promise us!  Here’s hoping yours goes away soon!

I have had moderate nausea the entire time, but it really kicked in on week 6! – As in, I feel like I am going to vomit constantly and it is really tough 🙁  I was in bed for almost a week!

Hmm. I think mine started a couple of weeks after the pregnancy was confirmed. It comes and goes but I don’t think it’s as frequent as it was in the first trimester. (I’m in the third one now.)

Mine started at week 6 and it came in full force. Ended up on meds that same week, in the ER by week 9, and diagnosed with hyperemesis at this time as well.

I finally started getting relief around week 16, but even now (week 21), I still throw up every single day and I’m still down 8lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, which is a lot better than my original 18 lbs.
