Hello! This is my first pregnancy and I am 8 weeks pregnant today. I have always pictured myself having a couple of kids, but I hate this so called morning sickness and its making me not want to get pregnant ever again! I get most of my nausea at night, and I have only vomited 3 times over the past few weeks, but I really hate feeling sick! For those of you that have passed this phase how did you manage to get through it? What pregnancy is this for you?

Ask your doctor about Zofran. It was a life saver for me. But it didn’t take it all away completely and I had “morning sickness” (mostly at night too)until 20 weeks. I have to say, you do kind of forget about it though after it is gone. I mean, I know it sucked, but it is hard to remember exactly how bad it was.

Zofran and constantly keeping food on my stomach to drown the stomach acid. I kept a box of Special K near me at all times to make sure my stomach never got empty. Also, keep hydrated or you will end up in the ER like I did. It was still unbearable for me though but my mom says severe morning sickness runs in the family. I felt bad for Duchess Kate when she was admitted to the hospital because I know how she felt.

@Kimmy83: I feel your pain and feel exactly the same way! I’m 17 weeks now and starting to feel better but still have bad days. I got a script for Zofran 2 weeks ago and wish I had it a lot sooner! Everyone says you forget but I don’t know if I believe them! Hang in there!

@future mrs: This thread is depressing me! I’m 13 weeks now, and I was hoping for a miraculous cure now that I’m in my 2nd trimester, but I’m still having to take the Zofran, and still feeling nausea 24/7….literally, every second of every day, I feel sick.
On the bright side, I have noticed a *minimal* improvement–meaning, before (even on zofran) I was so miserable at work, I would have to sit with a trash can on my lap most of the day. Now, I don’t need my trash can or security-blanket barf bag…I just feel nauseous but not to the point of throwing up.
I waas hoping this would be my last week—I kept hearing at 14 week, people feel better. I don’t know if I can make it another 7 weeks (cry)
