It sounds likey broken blood vessels.  The few times I have been violently sick, I get broken blood vessels all over my face.  It took a few days for it to fade away.  There isn’t anything you can do to make them go away, just remember sunscreen as always!

It also is pretty easy to cover up with makeup so if you are planning on using foundation, it probably won’t be too bad.

Hope you feel better soon!! Sorry–I’m of no help here but have a funny related story. Darling Husband was saying, “Yikes what’s on your face? Oh no! it looks like the MASK of pregnancy (discoloration of skin) is starting on you.” We had a dr. appt that afternoon so he remembered to ask the midwife if that mark was THE MASK. She looked closely and politely said, NO, that’s not it. Hmmmm….. Then went on to describe what it WOULD look like in detail.

When we went home, Darling Husband looked closely again.  “Did you eat blueberries today?”

“Uhhhh, yes, why?”

Sure enough, the purple facial mark came off with just a little rub of his finger.

I had this happen to me during my pregnancy, but they think I actually had food poisoning or a virus.  I had a hugered blotch in one of my eyes, too!  Sadly, that wasn’t the worst part of the food poisoning, but you don’t want to know!

It’s called petechiae and it will fade pretty rapidly… but if you are throwing up that violently, it wouldn’t hurt to check in with your OB about getting some Zofran.  No need to have petechiae for your wedding!

Ugh, I had some broken blood vessels in my cheeks.  I also broke a blood vessel in my eye while I was pregnant.  Luckily, it all cleared up by the middle of the second trimester.  I second DG’s advice about Zofran, though; it was the only that made me functional during those crappy morning sickness months!

I broke a lot of blood vessels the two times I threw up. I looked awful. I wasn’t sure what was worse, looking that scary or the constant feeling like I was going to throw up.

A few months ago I had very bad food poisoning, and I vomited a lot. I had those red spots all over my face, also my eyes were blood shot and I had yellow circles around my eyes. After about 2 days it wasn’t really noticable (if you came very close you could still see them.) Sometime when my eyes get puffy, from lack of sleep, I use hemeroid cream under my eyes and it works, so the 2 days I had the spots I applied hemeroid cream to my face a few times a day. If you don’t have to be anywhere you can try a hot towel on your face. If this doesn’t work I recommend making a trip to your local Sephora and purchasing a good concealer.

I hope you start to feel better.
