I felt that I never really had a bad case of morning sickness, but the feeling of being hungover would come and go most days through a variety of weeks. I can’t remember how long, but it was past 6 weeks (I am 32 weeks now). Sometimes it was in the morning when it would start, but would graudually go away throughout the day. And other days, it was worse at night. I never threw up, but like I mentioned… just felt hungover with that weird pit in stomach feeling where I either needed to eat or throw up.

I mainly snacked all day. I worked at 7am at the time and would bring a sandwich bag of cereal to snack on until I actually made my breakfast around 9am. I also never had issues with smell, and have it more so now than back then.

But, everyone is different. Heck, I’d even be in a meeting and all the sudden get that feeling but have to work through it since I couldn’t exactly do anything.

Hopefully it gets better for you!

sweetchiquita12 :  I had all day nausea most days from week 5 to 11. I actually found Greek yogurt helped a lot, although I very much dislike it, it usually settled the stomach until I started getting hungry again. And for some reason Tim Horton’s iced cappuccinos were like instant relief (but I refused to have one of those unless I was desperate). The usual gingerale and crackers did nothing for me past the first week of nausea. Aside from that, on weekends I would just try and sleep through most of it. I think everyone has something a little different that helps/work for them. Good luck!

sweetchiquita12 : I found the pattern of the sickness changed like on a week to week basis, I hit 11 weeks and it went. If I let myself get too hungry it would become painful, like you I found eating snacks during the day helped, water biscuits became my staple.

sweetchiquita12 :  haha, the Timmy’s gave it away. ๐Ÿ˜€ I found it was fairly consistent. I was lucky that I was never actually sick either. I only stayed home from work maybe once or twice as well, so once I figured out what worked, it became at least manageable. I was still very happy to see it go. The exhaustion however still lingers now that I am in to my second trimester…๐Ÿ˜ด

sweetchiquita12 :  To give an idea, it’s like you have this knot in your stomach that makes you feel like you either need to puke or eat something to prevent you from puking.

I wish I could remember when it finally stopped, the off and on feeling. I think it was closer to the 2nd trimster, though. I know it’s been a LONG time since I have felt that way… I know that!

They say that some of that can come back in the 3rd trimester, but so far nothing like MS.

With my first pregnancy I had literally one week of morning sickness–week 9–and it went away as long as I ate something. This time around the morning sickness started at about 5 weeks, peaked from weeks 7-9, but is still going on now at week 12. During the worst of it I felt sick all day, no matter how much or little I ate. I’m 12 weeks now, and the morning sickness is finally just in the mornings, haha. Usually from when I wake up until about noon. Luckily I haven’t had any vomitting, just nausea.

sweetchiquita12 :  Normally the “hard hitting” pregnancy symptoms of first trimester begin around 6 weeks.  I had “morning sickness” AKA Nausea but no vomiting from the moment I woke up till after I ate lunch…that was weeks 6-11 lol after 12 weeks it finally calmed down.  I know it seems like forever, but it will go away soon!

up until 5 weeks I was just tired and hungry.  Now I’m completely fatigued, nausea/vomiting from about 2 – 9 pm, and have some pretty bad food adversions.  I’m about 8 weeks, and am hoping it clears up soon
