@moss1:

It would’ve been better if you could post a pic of the ring. I have no idea what ENG 952 is πŸ™‚

Anyway I’m a size 3.75 too and 3.5 also fits me well. My ring is a 0.83 ct. Although people say it looks bigger than that on my small fingers, I still think I should have gotten a bigger size stone. But since you mentioned that its a halo, I should tell you that a halo will look much bigger than a solitaire of the same carat. When I went ring shopping, a halo ring of 0.75 ct looked bigger than my 0.83 ct soliatire. I’m wondering if the ring you’re looking at is 0.75 TOTAL  carat weight or just the weight of the centre stone. But a 0.75  with a halo should look pretty big on a 3.5 finger.

Here’s my ring πŸ™‚

I wear a 3.5 ring size, and I have a 1 carat ring.  This isn’t a great picture (just took it w/ laptop) but it should give you an idea of size.

@moss1:  go bigger. especially since it is moissanite, there is not a big price diff between 0.75 and 1.0 carats. and as you get older and used to it, it will “shrink” and you will wish you went bigger. so to avoid upgrades later, go with bigger. 1 isn’t overly HUGE either… it’s a good size.

@saldanha84:

Congratulations to ring shopping.  For size ref, mine is a GIA .90 ex cut on a 3.5 rs.

Eta, I know a few recently engaged coworkers that felt/got disappointed in this ‘shrinkage’ psyche-phenomenon, but I personally have not ever felt that.  I suppose if one is constantly ‘measuring’ or visually comparing than that could set in.  All stones/sizes are beautiful.

@moss1:  I’m a size 3.5, too! Both my e-ring and band are 3.5 and my center stone is JUST under 1ct. Tcw of my e-ring is 1.3, I don’t know about tcw for my eternite band, though. Hope this helps!

When I was deciding what size center stone I wanted, I went to JCP, Marshalls, etc. and bought cheap different ct sized rings. I brought a mm ruler with me to measure so I knew the carat to mm sizes (6mm = .75ct, 6.5 mm = 1ct, 7mm = 1.25 ct, and so on). I wore them around my house on my left hand and tried to gauge my split second impressions while looking at them throughout the day. It was fun but also great because at first I wanted a 1ct stone, but after feeling like “huh, I wish that was just a little bigger…” 1.5cts was where it’s at!
