I’m debating which date we should get married.
I’m trying to avoid my siblings’ anniversaries but I also want to get married when I want to get married.
My sister was married on August 29, 2009
My other sister on August 30, 2002
My brother on November 30, 2002
I met my fiance on September 22, 2007. I really want to go with this date especially since we’re waiting until 2012 to get married.
Take my poll PLEASE!

I like the September date. Engagement date anniversaries are meh.

If you want September, go with September! Besides, that’s almot a month from your sisters anniversarys and over 2 months from your brothers so they aren’t even close anyway.

I’m confused – what is wrong with the September date?

If you really want & like the September date then I think you should go with that (plus there is the bonus of having sentimentality for you).

it’s not like the date you want is on one of their anniversaries, so i’m not sure why you’re hesitant.

Our anniversary is September 29th and if I weren’t so impatient and determined to not have a weekday wedding we would be getting married then. If you love September do it then!

I don’t think it ever matters when your siblings’ anniversaries are. It’s not as though you’ll be celebrating with them. I’d go with when you can get your ideal venue/photographer/season you want to get married in. If that happens to coincide with when your other personal anniversaries are, cool! If not, don’t sweat it.

I don’t see what’s wrong with September. If you like that date then do it.

I don’t get it. What is wrong with any of the dates?

Fiance and I started dating on July 30, 2006. We got engaged on July 30, 2010. We are getting married July 30, 2011, which just happens to be a Saturday (it was meant to be!). Go for the date you met! It’s so special!

@Oribel013690: We’re getting married on the day we met/got together as well. Loves it.
