@MrsShev:  I saw an acquaintance of mine on facebook do a mother daughter dance (her faughter unfortunately passed away 10 years ago), and the photos were so sweet! I love this idea!

@MrsShev:  I’ll be doing a mother daughter dance with my mom. She raised me and I feel it’s only right to give her a little spotlight too:)

@MrsShev:  I think it’s a sweet gesture!

I had a father daughter dance only because my single father raised me with no help whatsoever from my mother. But, had it been my mother who had raised me, I would have had my dance with her.

I think the wedding should be a reflection of YOU, and not of tradition.

Heck, we didn’t even have a bouquet or garter toss!

If I were a guest at your wedding, I would totally think it was a sweet gesture. Do you think you would more likely regret doing it, or not doing it? I hope you go for it!

My mom and I are. My dad passed away when I was 12, so we’re doing it in the place of the father-daughter dance. We’re using the Carrie Underwood song “Mama’s Song”
