Honestly, all you can do is grin and bear it.  If it gets really bad, bring it up to your Boyfriend or Best Friend in polite, calm ways (not accusatory with “your mother did/said…”).  Hopefully she will realize that she’s only going to end up hurting herself and her relationship with you and her son, and will change her behavior.  Good luck!

I’m not on the best of terms with my Future Mother-In-Law to put it mildly. However, my Fiance understands why I feel the way I do, and we’ve simply started to spend less time with his parents. It’s sad in the way that Future Father-In-Law is the sweetest man on earth, but it’s just not bearable to spend time with that woman. We’ve solved it in the way that Fiance and Future Father-In-Law hangs out together, it doesn’t solve it altogether but it makes it a little easier to handle.
