It’s your wedding, not hers! Wear what makes you happy!

I say do what you want! You have to wear the dress so it should be exactly what you want. Your Future Mother-In-Law may not like it, but she doesn’t have to wear it so as long as you feel beautiful don’t let her opinion bog you down

Wear your dream dress.  Nevermind the nay-sayers.  It seems from other girl’s posts that there are always some.  Your dress looks amazing on you and especially if it’s your dream dress you shouldn’t change anything for anyone.

Wear what you want!  If it were me, I would just say again, “It’s not going to look exactly like this at the wedding” (since it won’t) and then leave it alone.  I’m surprised she’d comment after you already picked the dress.  By the way, it looks lovely.

I love it! Maybe she has issues visualizing what it will look like when there’s not so much material. I think you should get what you want. As much as you want her approval, this dress is for you and your Fiance and you should wear what makes you happy.

I think she was just reacting to the extra 8-12 layers that were added for the photo shoot. If your actual dress for the wedding is less cumbersome, I’m sure she will love it.

Go with what you love.  YOU will be the one wearing it, not her.

Wear your dream dress! I like at the poofiness now, actually… haha. You’ll always regret it if you don’t, and I’m sure she’ll understand. Just let her know you’re thankful for her opinions, but you’ve been dreaming of it since you were 5.

I’m curious…how did it go?
