Momma Guava-tini and Momma Gamer are in need of their dresses. One is petite and the other is “woman” size. Anyone recommend any reliable online stores to purchase their dresses. Momma Guava-tini will be in coopery brown for me & Momma Gamer in light blue or similar shade. They can be long or tea length – but they are both over 50, so nothing too sexy, rather conservative with the nice collar wrap around cute jackets and skirts sort of thing. Any suggestions?
Also, Momma Gamer will be in town next weekend and has asked to take her shopping for her dress around Miami- Any suggestions around town on where to go – and keep my title as her “thrifty” FDIL?
I.E. SOMETHING LIKE THE ONE BELOW – COLOR FOR MOB & STYLE 🙂 WITH SHORT OR LONG SKIRT. [attachment=282367,33536]

Alfred Angelo is fairly in expensive — that’s where my mom and Future Mother-In-Law will most likely be getting their dresses from. There’s quite a few to choose from, a wide variety of colors and they’re really rather cute and classy. Good luck!

Thanks – we actually just got an outlet for Alfred Angelo in South Florida – so I will definitely pass by there with her 🙂

A lot of bridal salons in the area have MOTB dress sections too, so you might want to check those out.

I would even try Nordstroms or Lord & Taylor – often off the rack stuff is less expensive than bridal salons.

That is a darling dress. I wish momma hot sauce would wear something like that but she’s too self conscious of her weight and height.

Now that my dress is settled, we’re on to looking for my Mom’s.
She keeps gravitating towards black and I told her that (along with the obvious white) is a no-no from everything I’ve read about it.
Are there other guidelines on Mother of the Bride dresses/attire?
