Any ideas of a super special gift for my mom. Not only has she personally paid for a big part of our wedding she also helped me plan it. Outside of that she is an amazing mom. I just can’t think of a gift that begins to thank her for everything she has done.

Without knowing anything about her…
We are planning to get each parent a handkerchief with our monogram and the date embroidered on it in our colors, since they are all fairly sentimental and will definitely cry. We are also going to give them each a picture frame that holds 2 pictures, and we’ll put a picture of them with me / my Fiance in one spot and leave the other for a wedding picture with them (for example, my dad and me when I was 4 in one spot and a picture of him walking me down the aisle in the other).
We knew they would prefer sentimental keepsakes to expensive gifts.

I’m getting them custom hankerchiefs but I don’t feel like it is enough. I like the idea of a picture frame!

I’m doing custom hankerchiefs, but I do feel a little weird about it because EVERYone is giving them now so I don’t feel like enough thought is going into it 🙁 I’m going to try to find something else to go with it

As a birthday present that was also a thank you (she didn’t expect a thank you gift) I got her a gold ring with opals in it that is literally her in a ring. I just searched until I found something that really would make her happy and screamed her. The other gift that I got my mom that she absolutely loves is a family tree necklace. My mom is really sentimental and famiy oriented, and this necklace is like a little gold tree with the birth stones of me, my sister, her, her mom and her grandmother.

Thanks for all your help! I’m getting her a picture frame with several photos from the wedding, a hankerchief, and a coupon book of mother-daughter activities that I promise to do with her over the next year (ie take her to the ballet, pedicures, ect…). I think it will make her feel like she isn’t loosing her little girl. I hope she likes it 🙂

I made my mom a scrapbook, thanking her for raising me, filled with pictures of her and I from my childhood. I put in little notes about all the things she did with me and how much she taught me. I’m putting everything into a coach bag that is totally her style.
