looking to see what people post.  I love the song by carrie underwood and would love to use it somehow!

I am definetly doing a mother daughter dance! My dad is still alive and very much apart o my life but my mom is my best friend. I feel like mom’s don’t get any real recognition on wedding days and that just wasn’t ok with me so this seems like a good way to give her a special nod!
I’d love to hear what song you are thinking of! I am considering “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler or “Because You Loved Me” by Celine Dion :o)

I am planning on dancing with my mom. She and my bio-father separated when I was young and she raised me as a single mom for most of my life. My step-dad is giving me away but my mom and I are going to dance in a combined specialty dance with Fiance and his mom. We’re not big fans of the specialty dances, IMO they’re kind of awkward but I dont want to fore-go them all together. We’re planning on dancing for like 30 seconds and then the DJ will invite all other mom/child pairs to join in.

Maybe you could do something like this? You’ll still get to honor her and use your song but you won’t have to feel awkward for a full 4 minutes.

I am doing the mother /daughter dance to carrie underwood(mama’s song) with my mom instead of a fauther/daughter dance. I dont think it is weird because she was the one who raised me to be the woman i am and i feel that she deserves it. Also it dosent matter what other people think it is your day and you should do what ever i is you fell is best. Plus your mother will be greatful that she was made a part of YOUR big day.
