- Wedding: April 2013
Of course there are Father/Daughter dances and Mother/Son dances but I’ve never seen hide or hair of a Mother/Daughter dance. (In the weddings I’ve been to)
My mother single handly raised me. She was and is the person I always looked up to. She is my support system and who I aspire to be. My parents divorced before I was born (yes they were together after they divorced lol) and my father always lived in the Pacific Northwest while my mother bounced between Arizona and New Mexico. To me a Father/Daughter dance would be nice but it wouldn’t mean as much to me as stubbling around the dance floor with my mom would.
So my question for the community here is would a Mother/Daughter dance be awkward in your opinion (as a guest)? There are quite a few people who would understand my relationship with my mama but I’m afraid it could raise some eyebrows with the guests that don’t know me all that well.
Also has anyone considered or witnessed a this? What were your thoughts?
