I’m sorry your father won’t be attending your wedding.

My cousin and her mother danced on “In My Daughter’s Eyes” from Martina McBride.  It was very touching and there was not a dry eye in the whole place.  Her mother and her are very close and you could see it.

Otherwise, you could find a beautiful poem that reminds you of her and read it to her.  I’m sure she will be touched by your gesture.

My mom and I are danceing to “Wind beneath my Wings” by Bette Midler. I love that song and reminds me of my mom so much!

@TonyaH08:  We are having a mother/daughter dance for the same reason(s). Dad not attending, not much of a presence in my life after age 12. Mom has been my everything…

We will be dancing to “Because You Love Me” By Celine Dion. A song very much like Bette Midler, but more modern and, to me, more of a tribute to the woman I am because of her.  Just thinking of it makes me want to laugh and cry b/c I know she is going to be BAWLING!! LOL

I think it is a great idea for you to do a mother/daughter dance.

I am having a mother/daughter dance also but because my mother was a single mother.  My dad will be walking me down the aisle and doing the father/daughter dance, but I have to give my mom her moment. I am using Ashanti’s “Mother” song. Beautiful song!!!
