My husband just booked a holiday with some friends, so my sister and I would like to take our mom somewhere, but we can’t think of where!
The dates are Feb 22ish to March 2-3ish. We taken our mom to Dominican, Mexico and Vegas, so we’d like to do something different. It doesn’t have to be a hot destination, but it might be nice because it’ll be the dead of winter in Canada!
Any ideas for a fun mother/daughter trip?

My mother and grandmother and I are going on a short Bahama cruise at the end of this month. We absolutely love cruising though. Savannah, GA has really nice bed & breakfast inns and good restaurants/shopping. What kind of things do you ladies like doing?

My mom and I went to London, England – it was a fabulous trip. We had an amazing time. Alaskan cruise could be fun too.

Jamaica was beautiful the week of Thanksgiving when we went. I’m guessing it should be really nice in Feb. I think y’all should do something warm tho, I don’t know why but when it’s freezing out at home, and you go on a warm vaca it makes it ten times better! I bet Hawaii is great that time of year.
I could always reccommend Florida. I got married in FLA in March and we were in the water and it was not HOT but comfortable.

@Rivendeler: I haven’t heard of that place, sounds expensive lol.
@missfroggy: My husband and I honeymooned there, we’re going there Christmas day for 9 days, and that’s where he’s going for his guys trip lol! But I love Savannah (obviously!)
@red_pepper_gal: I’d LOVE an Alaskan Cruise!!! That’s definitely on my list, but might be out of our budget since we usually pay for our mom as a gift 🙂
@HisIrishPrincess: Jamaica is a good idea, I should look into that, none of us have been there!

Canyon Ranch! I cannot recommend them enough. We went there for a Mother Daughter spa vacation before my wedding for some girl time, pampering and toning. It is truly a magical place for all ages and interests. There were tons of mother and daughter groups while we were there! The fitness classes are amazing, the spa is out of this world and the cuisine is to die for. Truly a 5 star experience all around! My mom, sister and I all have very different tastes and fitness levels and we were all delighted! You can customize your itinerary so that is plenty of group time -meals, spa treatments, etc., but when I needed a break I would pick a class that I knew no one else would be interested in. It was absolutely perfect! it is pricey but worth…every…penny.Counting the days until I go back. Best wishes!

- Wedding: November 2013 - St. Augustine Beach, FL
Savannah or Charleston. Great weather most of the year. Historic home tours and yummy food. Stay away from Southern U.S. beaches because college Spring Break is that time of year.
