Lair O’ The Bear between Morrison and Evergreen is perfect for pictures!

From the website… “The parking area is approximately four miles west of Morrison along the south side of State Highway 74.”

If you drive up Berthoud Pass, there are plenty of “pull offs” where  you can take pictures.

@rosegoldwedding:  For 30-45 min drive for views of snowcapped peaks… go towards Boulder and Estes Park.  There are some nice open spaces with mountain views.

And btw, Red Rocks Park is LOVELY – pictures don’t do it justice.

As @MrsBonJovi: said, Berthoud Pass is a good option.  But keep in mind you might be dealing with skier traffic that day.

EDIT: Removed the Brainard Lake link.  Looks like they close the area before winter hits.

rosegoldwedding what about lookout mountain?  If you want to hike a little you could do Chautauqua Park in Boulder and get the flat irons.  It’s supposed ot be 60 on Saturday so hiking shouldn’t be bad.

@rosegoldwedding:  Are you open to driving? I’d see about going out closer to more of a mountain town and doing something there? Vail? Minturn?

We honeymooned in Vail last March for a ski trip. I know some people consider it to be a “man-made town” but I still thought it was beautiful. The covered bridges, snow everywhere, etc. I looked into having a portrait session done out there and couldn’t convince my Darling Husband.
