Last week i completely changed my wedding from sept to june! The venue i booked has barely kept in contact with me and only met with me once for 5 mins and then hasnt called me back in months! So i knew i needed to just completey get out of there and find something new..so i found the perfect venue and my date and every date for the month of sept is booked so i thought about it and asked about june and they had the same day, but it is on a friday night in the summer at the beach area. Now im worried alot of people might not be able to come because of it being on a friday night. I have my save the dates going out this week but everyone is freaking me out and telling me not to be upset if alot of people dont come! However now im not sure if i should go ahead and get my invatations out sooner because of living in the beach area and its the weekend before the 4th and finding a hotel could get hard! What should i do? And what do you all think of a Friday night wedding? Im of course not changing it but just havent heard of very many friday night weddings!

I think people (especially the important ones!) will come on a Friday. Really, do not worry. There will always be naysayers.I’m having mine on a Friday and have attended quite a few weddings on Fridays. That way, yes you have to take a day of work off, but you have the rest of the weekend to enjoy!

@ChelleBell1: My wedding is on a Friday and it is a semi-destination where everyone will likely spend the night there (its a 2.5 to 5 hour drive for most guests). I haven’t heard any complaints yet about the day of the week so hopefully my VIPs will all show up 😉

@ChelleBell1: Hello date twin! I wouldn’t worry to much about it being a friday wedding. The people who want to come will find a way to be there. I chose a friday wedding because 1) cheaper 2) Great way to start of the weekend and 3) We plan on having a sunday “after party”. So it works out great for us. 🙂

@ChelleBell1: I think Friday weddings are fine! As long as people know in advance and can make the proper preparations I think you should be able to have a good turnout either way.
