I think I was the mentioner…. lol

And We LOVED it! I think they did a wonderful job of conveying the message and some of the things I really loved were….

* It shows the true change that Jesus brings

* It shows the influence that those around us can have on what we decide…. hers being about her leaving and his being about trying harder and loving better

* It shows how when you do the right thing regardless of the other person, you can change the direction you both are heading.

I can’t wait for their next movie to come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@runsyellowlites:Ditto for all of that. My Fiance and I love that movie. In fact HE’S the one that suggests it! I cry everytime. And I love the song they play at the end of the movie, love it!

In fact we were thinking of picking that song for our first dance, but we ended up going with another one.

I suggest evryone watches this at least once. Even if your not Christian. Its pretty good.

I loved it. I totally started crying at the end! But… if I remember right, I think I watched it by myself, and I may have noticed a little bit of “cheeziness.”

@red_rose: I think most all Christian movies have that “cheziness” really b/c well we’re so different in how things are done, thought out, and experienced than people who aren’t Christians…. most of the time I could totally seeing myself saying or doing something like they do in the movies…. I’m a goober. lol AND budget for these movies is MUCH less than the blockbusters that are filled with all kinds of stuff so the look of filming and editing is WAY different.

Comparitvie to other Christian movies though I think these guys are doing a great job of moving out of the cheesy Christian feel…. I mean their “facing the giants” was WAY more chessy than Fireproof and from the scenes that I’ve seen from Courageous it’s even better

*waits in anticipation*

I loved it! The story was relevant to believers and non believers, and just had a fantastic story of redemption and healing.

I agree with all of you that it’s great, and that some things that are Christian in nature seem overly “cheesy”.  I notice that in some fictional but faith based books as well!  I think that as Christians we need to better reflect that knowing Jesus doesn’t make terrible events disappear, or cause life to be perfect instantly, but rather that Knowing Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit cause one to realize that life is bigger than the details, and that you are always safe in the shelter of God’s arms no matter where the storms of life may take you.

Our preacher said he had one request of us, and that was to buy this movie. I really need to go get it!!

@abnorris: It really is fantastic! All of their movies have a great showing of marriage… even Facing the Giants in how we are to pull together in times/seasons of trial.

I just saw this movie the other day! I’m practically an atheist and even I thought the movie was really good. The relationship issues were real and relatable. Sure it was cheesy but the story was solid. And Mr. Kirk Cameron certainly helped too. πŸ˜‰
