I have the house and the TV to myself tonight! This is a rare treat for me! I want to watch a movie that DH wouldn’t want to watch if he were home. Something available on Netflix or Amazon Prime. I like ADULT content, not XXX adult, but adult subject matter: dramas, sex & violence, crime-thriller, dark humor, dysfunction, foreign/foreign language. No romantic comedies, no kiddie dramas. A few movies off the top of my head that I loved:
Fargo
City of God
Drive
August: Osage County
What have you seen that you think might suit me? Thanks!

I recommend The Trip, if you like weird British comedies with many Michael Caine impressions.
ETA: And The One I Love. Elisabeth Moss is good in everything.

The Family Stone. It’s about a dysfunctional family getting togeher on Christmas.
Rachel Getting Married. Anne Hathaway plays a woman who has been in rehab for a long time. She gets out for her sister’s wedding.

lim3: I am not sure it’s on Netflix, but The Debt is really good! Might be on HBOGO or Cinemax/MAXGO.
Bernie is good! Pretty dark comedy. Rabbit Proof Fence. New York I Love You. Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

justwondering2015: Yes! I really enjoyed Bernie. I never thought I’d like Jack Black so much in a movie.

CherryA: I loved The Trip to Italy, I didn’t realize that there was one before it, I’ll check it out. I’ve seen the One I Love – couldn’t agree more about Elizabeth Moss.
