Sounds like you have a great opportunity if your venue has an opening!  I would go for it, unless you had a special significance to your date or something!

I’d move it up! You still have plenty of time to get things done.

I would move it up; August is a great month to get married (I might be a little biased though).

I don’t think anyone will think less of you for moving your date, especially since it’s around a job opportunity.  You may not be able to pull off absolutely everything on the timeline you previously had planned, but you still have plenty of time to pull off a nice event with plenty of notice to everyone.

It would be one thing if you already sent out invitations, but you’re no where near that point.

Check with all your current vendors if you can move the date, if thats a go then I say go for it! I wish I was brave enough to move ours up but I graduate, my sister graduates, and then I have to take my nursing licensing exam all this summer so not really an option for me (also getting a brand new job and saying ok Im taking off a week and a half in less than a month wouldnt go over so well)

We’re having a short engagement-about 5 months. You CAN plan a wedding in about 2 months- you just can’t be picky about everything. For example: I’m doing our save the dates myself, did one version, and am e-mailing, vs. mailing them. I bought the 12th dress I tried on (was a sample), and we’re getting the attendant dresses from J Crew.

I’m not going to be able to do some of the things I wanted to do-had an amazing idea for invitations, but they’d take too long. We’re going with a really simple cake, etc. In some ways I’m glad we have a short time frame, because we’re making quick decisions, we aren’t second guessing anything, and it’s going to be a great day!

If the venue is fine with it, I would do it! You still have plenty of time to get everything planned! Good Luck!
