yeah, it sounds like she might be feeling like you’re stealing her thunder.  I don’t know if it’s about competitiveness necessarily.  Have you had a one-on-one with her to tell her how you and Fiance feel?  Sometimes that’s all it takes.  Sometimes, she’ll just continue to trash talk about people like drama and they like to play the role of victim.  And sometimes, change is just difficult and she’ll rant rant rant, then she’ll get over it.

People are crazy!!  I have a younger cousin about 10 years younger who is getting married next week.  I was mad for a minuet because I’m way older and have a long engagement.  But you know what, who cares!!  Do it when you want and make yourself happy.  There is no way you can steal her thunder unless you are having a $1millon wedding.  Be happy in your decision!!

How soon before your cousin’s wedding is yours? How long after your cousin’s wedding was it originally?

Will some family have to chose whether to go to yours or hers because of travel costs etc?
