Hi! Always great to see a fellow Nebraska bride.

I think you can get it done by September. What does your Fiance think?

This isn’t really exactly the same but I changed my date from December 2013 to July 2013. I went from a wedding of 150 to a wedding of 30. Unfortunately, I lost my $800 venue deposit *shakes fist*

I think it sounds like a great plan. It sounds like the bigger wedding was putting a lot of emotional and financial stress on you. I’d love it if my Fiance would agree to a 50 person wedding. Go for it!

I think anything that makes you say “a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders” is a great thing!

This is definitely doable… you have plenty of time still! And because you’re cancelling so early, your venue that you are cancelling might give you some (if not all) of your deposit back. We changed our mind and got back all but $25 (admin processing fee) of our $750 deposit even though we cancelled less than a year in advance. Have you called them?
