So I was wondering if any of you ladies had any experience with this.
I am moving out of state about a month after we get married. I was going to tackle getting my new social security card before I move. But I wanted to tackle getting my new Driver’s License AFTER I move. Are there any extra headaches involved at the DMV because I’m getting a new license, establishing new residency AND changing my name?
I’m moving to New Jersey, if that makes any difference. If it’s a huge headache, then I would just pay the fee to get a new license before I move to simplify things later.
Thanks for your help!!

I had the exact same thing happen! I didn’t get my new license until I moved and it was no problem at all. I just brought all my identifying info (SS card, old drivers license, marriage license).

Plus, does the government allow mail forwarding on the mailing of ss cards? I thought I remember seeing that they don’t. I may be wrong.
