@sheep105:  Congrats & good luck! I’m sure this isn’t the case with everyone, but when my SO and I moved in together about 2 years ago, it was seamless. No real issues at all! In fact, we fight a lot less frequently than we did before we lived together. As long as you’re both upfront with each other and communicate when there are issues, you will be fine! Just don’t let bitterness over who does the dishes or anything bottle up – TALK ABOUT IT WHEN IT HAPPENS. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself bringing up who does more of what when you’re fighting about something completely different (I am guilty of this). Enjoy this time! It was so fun at the beginning! Don’t get me wrong, I still LOVE living with my SO, but during the first couple of months it was all so new and exciting.

My SO and I dont plan on moving in with each other till after we are married. We still live with our parents and agreed to wait till marriage to move in together. We are both in our early 20’s.

BUT i will be sssooooo happy and excited when that day comes!!!!!!

@sheep105:  Oh, I remember my first apartment (which was also when I got married). *sigh* It was crappy, we had orange shag carpet in the bedroom, it was out in the middle of freaking nowhere and we had the worst hand me down couch in the history of the world. Dang I loved that place. Making me all nostalgic. I remember the breeze I used to get through the kitchen when I was washing my brand new dishes. And how I tried so hard to cook nice dinners even though my mashed potatoes were more like soup. Thanks for that walk down memory lane.

Have fun in your new place, it’s so exciting to have your own apartment!

Congrats ๐Ÿ™‚ The first time I moved out on my own was when I moved in with my (then) SO (now ) fiance.
