Blah… my Fiance and I are moving out of our cramped 1 bedroom into a larger place. We are both wayyyy excited about the extra space, but all of this moving is really putting a strain on life. We keep snapping at each other over STUPID things. He thinks I’m being neurotic, I think he’s being lazy. And on it goes.
We both just want this move to be over with so we can get back to life as we know it. Well, life as we know it in a much sweeter apartment!! I am so over packing and moving boxes, bags, appliances, etc. I just want to pop open a bottle of wine and soak in the tub for like…. a month.
Any other bees move recently? How’d you deal with the stress??

I hate moving, I have proposed that when we get our land, we just move our house on to it. No packing involved.
When we moved I packed, then he (and his friends) moved while I cleaned the old and new places. Worked out perfectly. We were actually together only a little bit.

Yep, moved into my house last Monday! It wasn’t too hard since I used movers.(I said when I move into a house I refuse to move things.LOL) (I’ve moved a lot during my 20s.)
It was and still is irritating because we have stuff everywhere and are waiting for the furniture delivery, putting up blinds and stuff. It’s tiring, but it’s tiring for a good reason. 🙂

We moved across the country last summer. Thankfully we had movers but not so thankfully they were idiots who broke or messed up half our stuff. I feel your pain, hope you enjoy your new place!

Moving stinks and expect that neither of you will be in the best of moods. We moved about six months ago. One point in the day, groom was being a jerk (so not him) and I was tired of hearing him talk so I gritted my teeth and said “shut up, shut UP, SHUT UP!!!!!!” I typically don’t talk to ANYONE like that, let alone the person I want to marry. We got through it and can look back and laugh now.

we are in that process right now too! But at least you are moving into somewhere nicer right!? That should bring some positivity to it! My husband is in the middle of the school year so i have a feeling i will be doing all the packing, cleaning, and painting myself ;( Im excited for a new project but i am also hoping my mom can come to visit and help!
You have to find ways to make it fun (as much as you can make it). I make a fun music playlist, order some pizza and open some beers 😉 Good luck!

Haha yea… Tempers have been running a bit higher than usual lately. We made the mistake of not hiring movers (hey we’re only moving 40 minutes away, can’t be that bad right?!). I’m seriously never doing this again without movers. I don’t care if we’re moving to the house next door!!
We’re almost done and will hopefully be officially in the new place tomorrow if all goes well. I am very excited to start settling in to the new place… It’s the transition that has us all out of wack. Today I sent Fiance out to get more boxes and he came back with those small storage boxes meant to hold files. WTF?!?! How am I suppose to put our pots and pans in those?! Haha, we had it out over that because he didn’t want to drive back to the store and get more.
He came in the room just a few minutes ago and was like ok, what should we fight about next?! It’s soooo out of character for us to bicker over dumb things like this. I know we’ll both feel better once this move is over!!
