But what is there left is I already have been doing all of above things? I have always invested in myself, went to gym everyday, saw girlfriends all the time, have a cool job… what could I do to shake things up…?

Just wanted to let you know that I think the backup plan worked for me! 😀 I wasn’t really making much progress with SO until I decided to take action and implement it. Anyway, he called me tonight and brought up going ring shopping in the next few weeks! I’m amazed. I know we’re not officially engaged but its a step towards it!

To be fair, I probably did bother him enough about the whole marriage issue, but I honestly can’t believe what a difference not bringing it up at all made. It wasn’t easy though… I didn’t talk about anything marriage-related whatsoever. Not my friends recent engagements, not having pinterest open with pretty rings pinned, and not even letting him catch me watching Say Yes to the Dress

Anyway, trying to not get my hopes up just in case things don’t pin out, but at least its progress 🙂

Cybele:  then think about it, do you really want to spend the rest of your life with someone who treats you that way?

What do you do when you start the back up plan, by simply making your own plans on Friday night, and he flips out immediately, calling a million times and texting you he misses you because he knows something’s up, BUT when you talk, he seems to think that the answer is to get you a bracelet. Day #1 of the back up plan and he has already grilled me on what “in a funk” means. Face palm!!
