Sigh, I love my husband but he is no Mr. Fix it. I got spoiled growing up my dad was Mr Fix It on everything. Projects that are no brainers and should be easy take hours and hours of planing and figuring out how to do.
For example we have a wrought iron stair case in our house and with a 10 month old who is on the move we needed a baby gate to put up. Unfortunately we had to special order a gate made for our stairs and even then we have to either purchase (which should have been the smarter idea) or make a piece to clamp the baby gate to the wrought iron since you obviously can’t drill into it.
He has been on this project for several hours now and no end is in sight. He has been cussing (baby is sleeping) and had cut himself (papercuts cuts)
I think we should have either had my dad do this or just bought the piece instead of making our own for clamping the baby gate to the stair case..
Sigh I miss having a Mr. Fix It in my life….
