@sofialovesmikey:  Honestlymy experience has been hit or miss with Sephora (and MAC for that matter). I would make sure you know exactly what you want for your look before you go in so that there is little opportunity for miscommunication.

I used to work for Sephora and it really is hit or miss for the MUA. I know of girls that rocked at makeup and some that were subpar. I would check around at salons because they went to school for it, all Sephora MUA’s did was get certified in it. (Not bashing, I was one of the MUAs.)

Out of all the MUA available out there for “free w/$x purchase”, I would go with MAC. I’ve had pretty good luck with MAC and they do listen to what you want and need (e.g. natural vs dramatic). The purchase amount is a little higher than $50, I think, but MAC products are relatively inexpensive compared to other prestige cosmetics (e.g. Dior, Lancome) so you get a decent bang for your buck. I used to work in prestige cosmetics and the MAC artists tended to have more exeperience and up-to-date training compared to some of the other lines (no, I personally was not a MAC artist).

@sofialovesmikey:  Sephora MUA have always been a miss for me. I am positive that is not the case with everyone though.
