Right, so I’m at a loss for veils. My mother dearly wants me to wear one during the ceremony, and I really don’t mind since it’s just for that one part of the event. However, I find I’m not naturally inclined toward the look, and need some helping figuring it all out – especially how to wear my hair with one as well. Can I get some more thoughts for you guys? Thanks a bunch in advance!
1. Fingertip Drop Veil
1a. Updo with Bangs (I look very derpy in those photos, my apologies! Also, please excuse the wrinkly dress, it needs to be steamed.)
1b. Loose Hair and Bangs
1c. Side Swept Loose Hair without Bangs
2. Cascading Chapel Veil
2a. Loose Hair and Bangs
2b. Side Swept Loose Hair without Bangs
3. Juliet Veil (I would be getting a different one than this, this is just a mock up to see if it looked good.)

I vote updo with bangs (yay bangs! I’m a bang girl also) with the chapel length veil. I personally don’t like short veils. They look like the cut dresses in half to me. So that’s my vote! 🙂

1b 1c or 3! You look lovely anyway though.

Firstly I have to say Wow you look stunning in all photos. the pictures look like they are from a stunning fashion magazine. I choose 1A – as I think – the shorter veil goes with the dress better! Really look great! ( I felt the long veil just drowned you/ distracted from dress) and the classic up do is beautiful with veil. alternatively if you want to wear youR hair down- I would definitely choose the side swept look! Wow- you really suit bangs and without bangs.

Updo with bangs!! Looks so classy and beautiful with your dress!

watcherofthestars: I am a steadfast hair down girl, until now! You looked beautiful in the other options, but the photos with the updo were stunning!

I voted for 1a, but I also LOVE the Juliet veil on you, and normally not a fan of that veil style 🙂

Thanks for the advice! I do wonder if I want something a bit different than the updo. Two reason mainly: it’s quite traditional (something I’m not, I tend to be more edgy and modern) and also, I wore my hair up for our engagement shoot. So, you still think it should be a go on the updo?
misshappybee: Oh gosh, you’re so sweet! Thank you! 🙂
MrsMore14: Ya know, I’m not too big on juliet cap veils either usually. And then I tested the look out was like, “Well…maybe that would actually work.” Thanks for your input by the way!

waitingtobeemrsS: Also: bangs for the win. <3

watcherofthestars: I like the updo and bangs for the ceremony with the fingertip veil, you could always let your hair down for the reception, depending on how much dancing you plan to do/weather/personal preferences… and just to add you are extremely beautiful. any option you choose will be gorgeous on you, your man is lucky for sure !

watcherofthestars: At first I thought updo! But then I saw you did such for your engagement photos and I figure something different would be better for your wedding. I actually really am a huge fan of the Juliet cap veil! I wish it was more popular because I love them! I think it’s so unique and bohemian, yet still romantic and kind of traditional. Super fun! But either way, you look like rockstar perfection so you could basically wear a grocery bag on your head and still look gorgeous.

I love the bangs and hair up and if you have to do a veil the short ome thought I, not a veil person either. May I suggest a bad-ass ponytail if you don’t want an updo again but want something a little more edgy. I did a high pony with a side braid in it for our post wedding pics with my dress and my fiancé said he liked it better than my wedding updo! Lol. I’ll try to find a pic to attach watcherofthestars:

mckey430: Hm, that’s a good idea – the one about changing hair for the reception. Why choose one when I can choose both! Thank you so much for your sweet compliment by the way. 🙂
carnationsunshine: Aw, thanks! The juiliet veil seems like it might be a real possibility.

I like the side swept hair on you.
