This las cycle, I took a small dose of Robitussin (like Mucinex) before my fertile window and some during to increase CM. I don’t know if that was what helped, as it did increase, but I did get a BPF this cycle and had never used it before.

JLFinch:  I got my BFP the first cycle I added in Mucinex. I used the generic Walmart version – mucus relief. Took it during my entire fertile window and whoa it made a huge difference in fertile CM. 31 weeks now so I’ll definitely give it a go when we try again for baby #2.

How does this help you be more fertile? I am not actively TTC but I know I have some issues as I have not used any kind of birth control with my Fiance for 2 years and no baby. I have also been given conflicting diagnoses for PCOS Gyno said I have it Endocronologist says I dont. Very confusing.

so basically i am just trying to educate myself

I am sorry but I am not up to speed on all the abbreviations. Is CM Cervical Mucus?

I had never heard of this before, but I’ll give it a try next cycle. DH is going to be going for a sperm analysis in a few weeks and I have another blood test so hoping everything comes out good.  Thanks for starting this thread!!

This is so strange but I’m really intrigued! So you just take it as directed while you’re ovulating? Does it matter if you’re on the 4 hour, 12 hr, or 24 hour?

I haven’t tried it but have heard lots of good things about it. You could also give evening primrose oil a shot as well- it’s supposed to do the same thing, but stop taking after you ovulate!

JLFinch:  Yep, we’ll be trying Mucinex. I’ll report back if we see results! 🙂
