I’m not gonna be any help either, I was trying to figure out if I lost part of mine this morning!  Hopefully we will have these babies soon!

@ms sweets:  I never had a huge losing my mucous plug moment with either one of my pregnancies. Towards the ends I would notice more discharge here and there. I really don’t think it means much, you could lose it all at once and go right away or lose it little bit by little bit and take a few days who knows or vice versa. Sorry there aren’t definate answers:(

@ms sweets:  I’m not sure about this but if I were in your shoes I’d probably at least call my doctor, especially because of having to go to L&D last week. I’ll be thinking about you!

I’ve lost little pieces of it since 30 weeks or so. My midwife told me it was normal. If it’s a lot of something, then that may be an issue. I would call just to ease your mind.

@ms sweets:  Sorry, I just weddingbee stalked you. If you aren’t due until July I would call and let your MD know. I thought you were due soon.

I lost bits of my mucus plug at 32 weeks then again at 38 weeks. No signs of labour, then at 40 weeks I went into labour. When I went into labour for real the rest of the plug came out, and there was no mistaking it!!

I don’t think it means anything, baby could have dropped and the pressure has made the plug come out in bits.

Also was the plug bloody? If it wasn’t then that’s not your plug, just discharge! When I say bloody it’s a gross bloody mucusy mess.

I don’t think it’s a big deal, just your body preparing for delivery.  A friend of mine recently delivered a healthy baby boy at 40 weeks, she lost her mucus plug around 33-34 weeks.
