I love these! I am currently collecting stones to create a multi stone ring (along the lines of the one you posted with the bezeled pear amethyst.) In my experience, it will cost much more to have multiple rings made with one stone each than it would to have many stones put onto one band. This is especially true if you are having this made in gold, as gold prices are very high right now.

Additionally, if you are not fixated on a specific custom design and/or using specific stones of your own/precision cut gems it will probably be a little cheaper to buy versions of these on etsy that are already made! In my experience, a good price for custom designed ring in sterling is about $150. In 14k gold it is between $450 and $550 (depending on complexity and amount of gold used), not including stones. For that price you can buy a gemstone ring that meet your criteria and includes stones.

Good luck!! Would love to see what you come up with, as I think all your inspiration pics are super cute!

That is a lovely idea. I did a similar project using diamonds from some old jewelry I had on hand, and my old E – Ring. I will warn you that the price is going to be higher than you expect. Not because of the materials (gold and stones), because I assume you may already have some old jewelry to work with. The labor to set the stones adds up. Especially if the stones are small. It will still may be cheaper than buying it all retail but keep that in mind.

I chose to use standard Stuller settings which also helped with cost. Can’t wait to see it all come together!

I have a rainbow gradient eternity band. I purchased off Etsy with a shop called Ardonn and I worked with Lior. It was a wonderful experience. I chose all stones that represent my children, husband and wedding anniversary. Their are garnets, Ruby’s, emeralds, zircon, diamonds, aquamarine and alexandrites. The ring is stunning!

@sleeksimple6:  I am not trying to discourage you. Just don’t assume it will be cheap. Here is what I started with.

Here is what I had made. I also had some plain gold bands that I’d wear to form a cute little stack. Plus I had my original wedding band (thin 5 stone ring).
