I voted 2.  English of course and Chinese.  But I actually know 2 dialects, so maybe it counts as 3?

I voted 2. English, and I have a degree in Spanish. I could be better at it, though.

Haha I feel like an idiot.  I was looking at the poll options thinking, “Where is the less than one option? I don’t speak any other languages!”  EmbarassedI speak one, english, fluently.

English & Hindi (so can speak and understand a fair bit Urdu and Punjabi as a result) My French is rusty and I understand more than I speak, Currently learning Spanish as part of my Languages degree…. So I can claim only two, but often frighten the the students by dropping a few words, put them off speaking a diff language in class.

    ps…(does Jamaican count? Wink)

Just one – English.  I was getting close to fluency in Spanish at one point but then I quit using it and lost it.

I must say I am jealous of those of you who speak multiple languages!

1 fluently, I’ll let you guess which one.

I took 3 years of German in high school and can get the gist of some French conversations and labels/advertisements.

The definition of “fluent” can be interpreted a million ways.  That being said, I am fluent in English only.  I have an upper level conversational/lower level business knowledge of French, and a moderate conversational level knowledge of Spanish.  I took Japanese in high school, but I only remember a few phrases at this point ๐Ÿ™‚  Languages rock, and I am completely jealous of those of you who truely speak more than one language with native, fluent abilities!

I speak two fluently, English and Vietnamese. French I can read fairly well due to high school and college courses. My conjugation is horrible though. =( I just started Rosetta Stone for Spanish so hopefully I could learn it in a year or two. Hopefully.
