I like the trend a lot.  I plan on getting a plain wedding band, but I would love to get a sapphire eternity band after a few years to wear with my set.

@PhD_BrideToBe:  I think sometimes ladies add a second band for their first baby… especially an eternity band. My SO says it’s traditional to get an eternity band when your first baby is born. I assume you then get a band for each kid.

I know stacked rings are pretty trendy and some ladies just like the look of 2 wedding bands. I think it definitely makes for a more interesting look – I like it!

My fiance actually prefers the look of two plain bands with my e-ring vs. just one.  For us, it’s all about the symmetry.  It looks more complete that way.

i never really realized it but yes, it is a big trend right now.

i have 2 bands.  a full eternity band and a plain band.  i like to wear the 2 bands without my ering sometimes.  the eternity has so much bling on its own.

I get the stacket thing IF it’s an anniversary band (like a milestone none of these “married 2 year bands”) or a “push present” but after that I really don’t get it.

@vmec:  i only got my 2nd (plain) band because i didn’t want to wear my ering all of the time.  gee, i haven’t even thought about milestone anniversaries 🙂

For me, the second band will be either an anniversary or push present. I only have one right now, but my husband already has the second to give me on our first or second anniversary or when I have a baby.

Personally, I have long fingers and it is just more comfortable for me to have a “thicker set” so I stack because of that and everyone has told me that when I stack it looks…more…”complete”.

I’m not engaged yet, but I would love to have two bands to wear. I like the symmetry of the look, as well as the extra width. Thinner bands don’t look very well on my hands, so the extra oomph and symmetry would make me super happy.

Not to mention, I can guarantee my SO won’t ever be getting me an anniversary band.

I agree that I’ve only seen this trend on the Bee so far and not yet in real life (Chicago).

Having two bands is common where I’m from. You get a wedding band and then either on your 1st anniversary or after the birth of your 1st child which is called the eternity ring.

Cuz I’m a rich betch.

LOL just kidding. I like the look of a thin band on either side… not sure if I’m going with that though. May stick to one.
