When does it happen? I’ve seen it happen when the boards are really slow. Like it takes more than a minute to load threads.

What platform do you use? computer and on my iphone

What operating system and version do you use? I’ve seen it both on PCs and my mac. Using PC with Windows EX.  Using a Mac with OS 10.6 (snow leopard).

What browser do you use? IE7, Firefox on my mac and Safari on my iphone

ETA: Oh, I’m only hitting the submit button once.

When does it happen? I’ve seen it happen most when the boards are running really slowly in general (but sometimes it happens when things seem to be running fine).

What platform do you use? Computer (desktop and laptop)

What operating system and version do you use? Windows (7, I think – It’s my work computer so I don’t pay that much attention)

What browser do you use? Internet Explorer (don’t know version but I know it is NOT 9 – again, work computer so I don’t pay attention).

Also, I never click the submit button more than once and yet I sometimes have my post show up 4 times.

When does it happen? Randomly, though as PPs said, the Bee is running slowly in general around that time.

What platform do you use? Laptop

What operating system and version do you use? Windows Vista

What browser do you use? Firefox

Also like PP, I’m not hitting the submit button more than once.

When does it happen?  Like the others said, when the Bee is being slow or my browser is…

What platform do you use? PC and laptop (pc at work, laptop at home)

What operating system and version do you use? Windows 7

What browser do you use? Google Chrome (IE 9 does NOT work on the bee)

I sometimes hit the “post” twice after it times out, but usually after hitting the “back” button.  BUT not always.

When does it happen? when it is a high traffic time. When I click “submit” often I have to refresh it since the page will stop loading….resulting in double posts. Pages don’t load and I have to refresh about 50% of the time. Very frustrating.

What platform do you use? Laptop only

What operating system and version do you use? Windows 7

What browser do you use? Firefox only.

When does it happen? sometimes for no reason I can figure out (identical timestamp); sometimes I get an error message like the page timed out and resubmit, then it shows up as different time stamps (because I accidently posted 2x)

What platform do you use? Macbook at home; PC at work (unfortunately) – it happens on both.

What operating system and version do you use? OSX10.7.1 at home; Windows XP at work, I think?

What browser do you use? FF6 for both

When does it happen? I usually have double posts when a page takes too long to load. When this happens the site always seems bogged down no matter what page I try to open.

What platform do you use? Toshiba Laptop

What operating system and version do you use? Windows XP

What browser do you use? I normally use Google Chrome, but have experienced the same issues with Internet Explorer.

ETA: I don’t hit the submit button more than once and still experience double or triple posts just like the PPs. Sometimes I try to avoid the issue by copying what I was going to post and then backing out of the page or refreshing it before trying to submit again.

When does it happen?

Usually when the site is running slowly. The first couple times, I got a time out so I went back and tried again, only to find out the first post had gone through, so I don’t do that any more. I’ve still had double posts happen, though. Most recently, I hit “submit” and it took a long time, but eventually loaded the thread I was posting on and there were two posts by me.

What platform do you use?

Computer (Eee Netbook)

What operating system and version do you use?

Ubuntu Linux 11.04 (Natty)

What browser do you use?

Opera 11.5

When does it happen? When the site is really busy/slow. I’ve learned to only hit submit once, even if the next page times out (which happens fairly often).

What platform do you use? Mac Laptop

What operating system and version do you use? Mac OS 10.5.8

What browser do you use? Firefox
