While I love the muppets, it really does make me think of a toddler’s birthday.  I probably wouldn’t do much more than a muppet caketopper.

Hmm… You could do some of the songs from the muppets. Muppet cake topper. Muppet cupcakes. I Would only do a touch here and there though so it doesn’t look ridiculous.

Animal is my favorite. 🙂

I love the Muppets, but I would probably only go with one Muppet element to make the day a little more personal (maybe the table number cards, or the cake topper). Otherwise you do run the risk of it getting a little “kiddie.”

I’d have them play Rainbow Connection.   Muppet cake topper. .but I’d stop there.

I’m a huge Muppets fan (note my avatar!)

I’m a HUGE muppet fan! We used the song the rainbow connection as part of our ceremony music.

You could do a muppet themed grooms cake for him! Or you could try to incorporate them into the favors. That way your reception wont come off as too childish. Good luck!

Any possibility of making a Muppets grooms cake?  You could shine a spotlight on it that way and leave it out of other things to keep the event itself sophisticated.

Pretty sure the muppets are the bomb!

I dig the cake topper, cupcakes…

we had tolsby frames with pictures and little unknown facts about us, one being that the bride is a huge fan of the 80s classic involving a sassy pig and a cute frog.

there are a boat load of ways to incorporate them….your grand entrance, toasting glasses, your groom/bride chair….seriously it’s YOUR wedding, options are limitless!

good luck!

I think you can totally do some cute things with that kind of theme…check out these weddings that were at the Jim Henson lot (we also looked at it as a potential venue…)

you could use instrumental music from sountracks, find graphic posters for the characters as decor (see http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/minimalist-muppets-by-eric for example), use pictures of significant locales in the movies (new york skyline, los angeles, etc)

check out what this couple did for their wedding:

I love this! I think it’s amazing to incorporate something you’re interested in for your wedding. I agree with pp that you should limit it to a few adorable details and not overwhelm it with kermit.

1. escort cards. You could name the tables after various muppets and have the little picture on the escort card. Just be careful who you seat at the Miss Piggy table.

2. muppet cufflinks: http://tinyurl.com/8phd4kz

3. bride/groom chair sash with muppet details- maybe a kermit and miss piggy thing if you’re cool with being miss piggy (I would not be!)

4. you can make a custom muppet! I have no idea how you can use this in your wedding but it is just so. darn. cool. Maybe photos with each of you holding your personalized muppet? Here’s the link:

That’s a tough one – my sis just threw my 2 year old nephew a muppet bday party, and it was cute but obviously very juvenile. (she made all these super cute centerpieces sort of like the pics above).  I’m not sure of a way to incorporate it (other than grooms cake and a muppets cake topper) without it seeming over the top and juvenile.  But, that’s just me – I’m sure it CAN be done. I’m personally just not a huge fan of themed weddings.

Our ceremony is at an old movie thatre not unlike the muppet theatre.

Well be playing the muppets tonight theme song as people enter. And we will be walking down the aisle to rainbow connection.

I love the muppets! Maybe instead of actually having the characters as part of the decoration, just use a lot of bright, beautiful colors representing muppet characters for tablecloths and such?
