That would be awesome! I’d guess that they last generally 2-3 hours, though I’ve never been to one myself.

they usually last about 2 1/2 hours (I’ve been to a couple). Never been for a party but if you tell them ahead of time the actors may try to include one or some of you in on the act since you are doing the bachelorette thing. If the acting is good, these places can be a lot of fun! I would read all the reviews you can find for whatever place you choose.

I went to one last summer.  It was a gorgeous night and we went on a boat cruise on the harbor, so it was really nice.  After the murder mystery they had a band and tons of room for dancing.  I thougth it was fun and really unique!  And I know it will vary by location, but this one was fairly inexpensive for a fun night out.

I think our boat cruise was 3 hours and the murder mystery part was about 2 hours.

i am planning on doing this for my bday….but i was going to get one of the kits online and host a dinner party/cocktail party….they seem to have some really good ones, and you can give everyone a “character guide” a couple weeks before so they can get costumes and get into character!

These are a lot of fun!  My family/friends took me to one as a surprise birthday party one year.  It was on a boat so it was a dinner cruise.  Afterward the boat docked and some people got off and others came back on and it turned into a floating dance bar! We had a blast ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve never been to one, but i’ve always wanted to! They seem like SO much fun. What a cool bachelorette concept.

I love murder mysteries, so we planned a murder mystery dinner for one of my birthdays. We did one of those box kits you can buy at the store. My word of caution is to consider who will be at the party. My murder mystery dinner wasn’t as fun as I had hoped it would be because some of the participants weren’t very outgoing and only a few people really got into it. I think to have a successful one, you have to have people who aren’t afraid to go for it. And maybe not use a box kit (it was a little awkward to have to listen to the instructions on CD and pause and listen to further commentary at certain points). Maybe one of these days, I’ll try it again with a different group of people. ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t have any advice, but I just wanted to say that sounds like an awesome idea!
