I am working on ceremony and reception music vendors. I fell in love with the Vitamin String Quartet and so we are going to have a string quartet for the ceremony and they will adapt any songs of my choosing for the ceremony. I am so excited, but have no clue which songs to pick. I would like to have a prelude to the ceremony while guests are seated (how long? 15-20 minutes? 10 minutes?), bridal party song, processional and recessional.
Which songs would you suggest? Does not have to be a song that has already been done on the strings, any song!
Also, I think steel drums are awesome. And we have a name for someone connected to our string quartet who could do it. BUT we are having a soft, romantic, whimiscal garden wedding AND I plan on having a DJ for the reception dance music. Do you think steel drums during the cocktail hour would be overkill or out of place in our garden wedding? I think they are so neat but not sure it really fits.
Please help me!
