I actually chose a movie soundtrack from Lord of the Rings, and for our video teaser, we chose Nickelback’s new song, “Never gonna be Alone”.  Here is a link to the teaser!  My husband and I love Nickelback so that’s how we came up with it….but for the entire video, our videographer recommends movie sound tracks, plus some upbead love songs…

It’s only about 2 minutes.

I had SUCH a hard time doing this.  I really loved the songs Mrs. Flamingo chose and I would have used every single one of them, but the hubby didn’t like all of them, lol.  So, here’s what we came up with together and what we ended up using:

Evermore – Never Let You Go (Getting Ready)

Adele – Make You Feel My Love (Ceremony)

Dashboard Confessional – Stolen (After ceremony photoshoot)

Ozomatli – Can’t Stop (Reception/Open Dance)

David Cook – Time of My Life (The rest of the reception/grand exit)

Hope that helps!

This is such a helpful question—good one!

I am leaning towards these, but I have some time:

  • modified version of “Luckiest” by Ben Folds Five
  • “Lullaby” by Dixie Chicks (I heard this on my videographer’s blog on another bride’s video.  I am pretty sure Dixie Chicks wrote it for their kids, but it can also be applicable for two lovebirds!  It is awesome. Here’s a link to hear it and to see a video with it.)

I need to pick one more song, but I am not sure which one to choose!

Good luck!

I am using Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole for our slideshow at the reception.

Not quite the same thing as the wedding video, but it could still work.. It’s a beautiful, peaceful song.

@lillindy – my good friend used DC’s “stolen” in their video too, i love that song and it goes so well with wedding videos.

For ours, which was not chosen by us (gift from family members that taped our wedding – we didn’t have a videographer) they used different versions of the music we had in our ceremony/reception, including:

  • “Storybook Love” – from the Princess Bride
  • “At the Beginning” – from Anastasia
  • “Lucky” Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat
